Hi! My name is Shelly. Welcome to my blog.
I live in the South and despite my best efforts, I have the accent to prove it. I am 31 years old and live with my husband of 6 years, who is also my high-school sweetheart, and my dog, Xena. She’s the doggy in the picture. (My husband is camera shy, but I’m working on getting a picture of him in here somewhere)
I’m also a huge karate buff but only started taking classes this year. So far so good – I took 1st place in all 3 events at our local tournament. (Praise God!) I attend a Christian martial arts academy and our slogan is “Kicking for Jesus”. It’s a blast!
I am a born-again believer and an aspiring Christian inspirational writer. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and, sad to say, there probably isn’t a legal pet I haven’t owned at some point in time.
